Dear friends and neighbors,
My name is Mayra Uribe and I am your Orange County Commissioner.
MAYRA Uribe Since 2020 I have had the privilege of representing our dynamic and diverse community, and it has been a wonderful journey! Our achievements have been significant, yet there is still much more we need to accomplish.
As many of you know, I have devoted my life to making Central Florida a better place to live, work, and raise a family. As a dedicated wife, mother, business owner and first-generation American born and raised in District 3, I understand the concerns of those who call Central Florida home. In addition to my role as your current County Commissioner, I am also active in supporting nonprofits, including Catholic Charities, Healthy Start Coalition, All Star Dads and the Salvation Army.
I strongly believe that if we work together we can boost economic growth and housing opportunities, strengthen our transportation system, and bring better- paying jobs to the area. The potential of Orange County is limitless, but it takes strong leadership, hard work, and dedication to unlock that potential. I have the great pleasure of raising my family in District 3. They give me the strength and encouragement to serve again as your County Commissioner. I humbly ask for your vote on August 20th.

OUR DISTRICT….
District 3 is a diverse area that stretches from John Young Pkwy/Taft Vineland to Dean Rd/Colonial Dr. That’s why, as Commissioner, my priority has been to remain responsive and accessible.
OUR GROWTH… Smart growth doesn’t happen by accident. It takes listening, learning, and sometimes saying “no” to developers. New construction is welcome, but after careful consideration.
OUR COMMUNITY… I was born and raised in District 3. I chose to raise my family here. Protecting our quality of life while helping others achieve success is important to me. We need smart growth, safer streets and responsive government. Let’s keep our taxes low and our ambitions high.

Leadership
Transportation/Roads
Fast-tracked much-needed stop signs, crosswalks and speed bumps in the District. I am also Chair of the Transportation Disadvantaged Board-helping
our most vulnerable community.
Improved Communication Started D-3 Community Leadership Conference, increased office hours, and started a business and community newsletter.
Crime & Safety Created regular neighborhood meetings with the sheriff, this allows a stronger connection between businesses & communities with law enforcement.
Lakes/Retention Ponds Championed new ordinances to protect our waterways and boat ramps. Participated in many lake and neighborhood clean up projects to improve our environment.
Childhood Development Created and supported a district wide children’s summer reading program and founded High School mentoring groups.
Our Neighborhoods Deserve Better I say “no” to strip clubs, liquor stores and used car lots. We don’t need any more.
